Hey There

Thank you for stopping by. Welcome to my special writing world  where I hope you will be uplifted and blessed. You see, I have always loved writing. Writing brings life to those emotions and thoughts I feel inside and really makes me come alive. I pray that your faith gets ignited from being here.

My story is one of faith and hope and expectations and I want to tell you a little about me.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. I am the first born of my parents Rev. David Adegboye and Late Mrs Oluyinka Adegboye. Born in the UK, I moved back to Nigeria with my parents where I began my educational journey. When I was in my fourth year in Primary school, I knew what I wanted to become when I grew up and I pursued that by God's grace. I became a Pharmacist. I live with my husband Daniel, and our two children in London, UK.

I became a Christian at the young age of five and my walk with God has grown over the years. I sing as part of the Worship team in Church, and work with little children to help them build their faith in Jesus.

I am a breast and ovarian cancer survivor. In October 2015, I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. The next few months was a rollercoaster of surgery, post-surgery complications, two more surgeries and then chemotherapy.  I was in remission until February 2020 when the cancer came back. I underwent surgery again and more chemotherapy and just when I had started to settle down with my maintenance treatment, I found a lump in my breast in September 2021. More surgery and radiotherapy followed. Through it all, God has been faithful. I am a survivor and a warrior.

I love reading and writing but never imagined I would one day publish my writing. I am the co-author of the book titled, ‘A Love Worth Having’, which was started by my late sister Temilolu Adegboye who sadly passed away in 2017 after a two-year battle with breast cancer. I am working on my solo book projects which I hope to publish soon.

As a BRCA gene mutation carrier, I support the work of several charities for women diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancer. I hope to  start a Foundation in memory of Temilolu, to help support prevention and early diagnosis of breast and ovarian cancer due to the BRCA gene mutation in Nigerian women.

Fun Facts

When I am not helping to save lives at work, I love to go on holiday. I love driving fast, I love the seaside and never pass up an opportunity to see the country. I've always loved travelling. I hope to see the world someday, but till then, I view the world through books, films and listening to music. I love spontaneous writing. I love to cook and share meals with family and friends. Above all, I love to spend time with my children and husband and always look forward to Friday night which is Pizza and movie night.
